What are the 23 Channels Spectrum is Dropping

Cable prices continue to hike; Spectrum is all set to drop 23 Viacom channels. Viacom is not asking for extra money from Spectrum. Actually, Viacom is giving Spectrum an opportunity to lower your cable bill and keep these channels on the air. Instead of work on their customer's behalf, Spectrum is selecting to drop these channels. For more information contact customer service for quick guide:- 1888-306-0982.

Spectrum has also stopped giving the lower prices once you subscribed to more than one premium channel. When you paid the full charge for the first premium channel, the rest were always lower priced. When Spectrum was still Time Warner, they'd charge $10 for every extra premium channel. People are now necessary for paying more for much less, losing 23 channels is completely inappropriate.

What are the 23 channels Spectrum is dropping?

In the list of dropping channels, these 23 channels include Nickelodeon, MTV, BET, and Comedy Central. The celebrities from these channels together with Queen Latifah, LL Cool J, and lots of others posted videos on their social media requesting the viewers to call Spectrum and appeal them to make a deal.

Occasionally, Spectrum also offering a hidden deal to its customers, you can ask about promotions and deals when they call at Spectrum bill pay and also check outage at Spectrum outage map.

  1. What?? Spectrum is dropping the Comedy Channel? I won't be able to wind the day with Trevor Noah? Life is stressful enough, without this pointless and selfish move. The complete mishandling of the nation by the White House, resulting in the panic over the cooronavirus, the plummeting stock market, the closure of almost all forms of entertainment -- theater, rock concerts, symphony, the libraries, museums, movie theaters -- and now they're squeezing out Comedy Central AND 22 other Viacom channels. And Viacom isn't even charging Spectrum to use these channels. And, of course, Spectrum is yanking up the prices. This is a warning. If Spectrum doesn't fix this we're switching... and telling all our friends.

  5. We need no higher prices. The cost is more then we can bear. Comedy is most relevant now that we are all going to be home. Quit hurting the customers. No more taking away. Enough of us, Together!!! Will remove, go back to dish.!! Being on roof is no embarrassment. Common sense !!

    1. This makes me so mad! I love these channels and regularly watch shows every week! I didn't know this before I paid my astronomical bill today! I will be on the phone tomorrow guaranteed! Everyone needs to call! There is enough stress with this coronavirus and now they want to take a little bit of joy! Come on people! Call Spectrum and complain!!!

  6. Spectrum: we have been with spectrum for many years every year you take channels away and raise the fee. We are senior citizens and live on our social security which is not very much. We can hardly afford it now and think you should have a lower price for seniors and leave the channels alone!! Alot of the channels now aren't worth the price you have now!! Wake up and try lowering it for once. And start caring for the. Customers instead of how you do business now!!!

  8. This is an absolutely ridiculous move on Spectrum’s part! My family and friends have already switched to AT&T and they’ve been trying to get me to switch because they have more channels and pay less than we LOYAL spectrum customers!

    In the relatively short time since Spectrum has taken over Bright House, the quality has dropped in many areas ranging from the choices we have, to the number of channels we get, to the On Demand database itself. Take the database for example, when Bright House controlled it we used to be able to sort the titles - within each genre - from newest to oldest and alphabetically. Now it’s simply alphabetical, which isn’t even done correctly. You’ll find titles beginning with D, M, etc. in the A’s.

    If you need an example, go to genres, choose Thriller, scroll down until you begin with the A’s, where you’ll find the title Don’t Grow Up (listed between the movies All is Lost and Along Came a Spider); scroll down another couple of dozen and you’ll find the title Dead Night; scroll down a couple more dozen and you’ll find the title Terrified, etc, while still in the A’s.

    There is no doubt in my mind that these little errors have been pointed out to Spectrum, but the fact that they’ve been listed like this for nearly a year, just exemplifies the lack of care Spectrum has for its customers and the lack of pride they have in their product, which has a direct correlation to its quality, or the lack thereof! What happened Spectrum? These little things wouldn’t bother me at all if it wasn’t just another thing in the long list of complaints I have about spectrum as my cable provider.

    Also, Bright House continuously populated the database with names of stars and directors. You could input a director’s name into the search engine (the B button) and everything he/she had ever directed would pop up in a list, as long as it was in the database. But Spectrum stopped populating that database the day they took over. Of course, they didn’t delete what was already there; for example, I’m sure you’ll still find Steven Spielberg. But you won’t find any of the directors from shows added since the day Spectrum took over. This may seem small, but it isn’t, because it shows the lack of care they have for us, their customers. It shows that they’re getting away with managing this huge corporation with less employees, which means they’re managing it for cheaper, but STILL CHARGING US MORE. Frankly, this little detail (about populating the database) was a handy way to find cool shows and movies! If you watched a particular movie that you enjoyed, you could input the name of that movie’s director and find everything he/she had directed, which was usually similar in genre or style, to the movie you enjoyed. It was a convenient way to find new movies. But Spectrum has let the database go for so long now that it would take a full time staff to repopulate it with all the data they’ve omitted over these past few years. What a waste. But what a windfall for Spectrum, getting away with so little effort, taking over Bright House’s database, but cutting the work effort to maintain it properly.

    But enough about the crappy database we’re stuck with now and its lacking capabilities. The bottom line is: We have less quantity, less quality, and the price has nearly doubled! This must stop now!

    Spectrum, if Viacom is giving you these 23 channels for FREE, why would you dump them? We do not understand your logic! And we ARE PREPARED TO LEAVE you for a cable company who gives a $&#@ about their customers! Can I put it any clearer?

    Regardless of whether it’s 23 channels or 4 channels, we are begging you to leave these channels alone! Please don’t take away ANY MORE channels! We are also begging you to stop raising your prices! You’ve already gotten away with removing a lot of our options while charging us much much more! So please be happy with your windfall and let things be for awhile.

  9. What I find funny about this is everyone that is upset about all this is complaining on here like spectrum actually uses this as their own site. Want to make a complaint GO TO THEM. Not rant on other sites that have no actual contact with them.

    But I agree charging more and giving less is bad business. That’s why more and more people leave spectrum every day. Using them for internet alone. And giving the competitors the edge. When it was just Time Warner where I live it was great got what you wanted for decent prices. No major price hikes like spectrum does now.

  15. Spectrum cut my deaf mother who is caring for 4 children who needed internet and home phone. All because of a mistake and they claim is NOT in the system. I have called about a credit that was promised to her and noone would help. They do NOT care my mother had the same service for over 20 yrs with TWC. Thank you Spectrum for no empathy NOONE is trying to get over just to help with your employees making promises and you are not holding them accountable. Thank you for this separation that is going to cost her $475 owed to you and a connection fee to another provider because she now has to get reassigned a telephone number. LOVE AND APPRECIATE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE. OHHHHHHH and not only that the kids have to borrower WIFI.....thank u Spectrum for your leadership and COMPASSION......WHAT A JOKE

  20. I have been trying to watch certain programs that I have watched for years and could not figure out why I could not connect to them. My mother could not watch her Westerns.....we have had these services for many years and would like to continue doing business with you. I hope that this problem gets resolved.

  21. dropping that amount of channels is WORTH A DROP IN THE MONTHLY CHARGE! I am on apple TV and NO ABILITY TO RECORD UNLESS IT IS ON MY PHONE!!! Pay more get less the American way!!! I am soooo close to NO CHANNELS THAT AREN'T ROKU AND ANTENNA !

  23. I WATCH QUITE A BIT OF TV AND I AM NOT IMPRESSED WITH WHAT SPECTRUM IS DOING WITH THE PROGRAAMING THE WESTERN CHANNELS AND THE OTHERS. NEVER HAVE I EVER WITNESSED SUCH BAD PROGRAMMING IN MY LIFE. THERE IS NO NEED FOR SHOWS TO BE SHOWN EVERY 3 TO 7 HOURS BACK TO BACK. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.     2. I was looking to see if Spectrum carried Fox Business Channel but couldn't find it listed in their Gold package. I'm moving from Directv in the next few months. Don't think of Directv. I'm paying $190 for a month for 1 TV with NO Premium channels and HD 1 DVR. They're dropping channels too Blaming all The U.S. Democrat controlled Congress for not passing "all provisions" of the "Satellite Television Extension & Localism Act ReAuthorization" act. In other words, they're allowing Satellite to drop channels with NO REPERCUSSIONS OR DROP IN PRICES. Guess who Lobbied Congress not to pass it???...the 2 Satellite Companies. We're all being screwed by both cable and satellite. Us rural Americans get the brunt of this as we have LITTLE TO NO alternatives for TV access.

  25. Spectrum replaced my cable box with a new box. I lost a channel and called spectrum. The guy I spoke to told me "looks like this channel is not on your lineup. I told him I watched this channel alot. He just said looks like you got a freebie but if you want this channel you need to up your package. He didnt try to work with me just said I need to up my already expensive package to an even more expensive upgrade. Spectrum treats customers poorly.

  45. I'm dé going back to a streaming tv service. Dropping 23 more channels but not dropping prices is ridiculously greedy. I'm also tired of outages and my internet regularly discharging. I have to unplug my router and modem on a regular basis to restart them just to be able to watch tv or use my phone. Guess I'll be going back to Hulu Live TV.

  46. It's bad enough that Spectrum charges so much for their services, but to drop 23 more channels without reducing prices is the height of avarice. Add that to the fact that I constantly have to reset my router and modem and the frequent "outages in my area", without compensation and I've definitely had it with Spectrum. Hulu Live TV here I come.
