Xfinity troubleshooting no sound

There are a few things you can do to fix your problem. If you have another device on hand, e.g. For example, a Blu-ray player or a game console, first connect it to the TV, which is now connected to your Comcast-Box. We want to determine if the problem is Comcast or your TV.

To ensure that this is an accurate test, connect the second device's HDMI cable to the same HDMI port that the Comcast cable is on. We want to see if there is a problem with this port.

Then turn on the second device and check if you hear any sound. If not, the problem is with your TV. When you get the sound, the problem is Comcast.

If the problem is with your TV, try connecting the HDMI cable to another HDMI port. If you still have a sound problem, it is definitely your TV and you need a service call.

However, if the problem is Comcast, you can try the following to restore your sound.

Press the menu button on your Comcast remote twice. Then click Audio Setup in the menu lists on your screen. Then take a look at the HDMI sound setting. If it is off, turn it on.
